Solve the schedule. Strengthen the team. Improve the organization.
At CallCovered, our purpose is simple: solve scheduling. But we believe a schedule should do much more than tell people where they need to be.
Always covered. Always reliable.
A great schedule does more than tell people where to be.
A great schedule creates reliability. It builds resilience into an organization so teams can adapt when people call out, priorities change, or unexpected demands arise. It enhances performance by putting the right people in the right places at the right times. And it creates trust by making fairness measurable and the decisions behind the schedule transparent.
Reliability
The schedule has to work. Every time.
Resilience
Teams that can adapt when people call out, priorities change, or unexpected demands arise.
Performance
The right people in the right places at the right times.
Trust
Fairness that is measurable, and decisions behind the schedule that are transparent.
We design around you. We don't make you design around us.
Every organization is different. Its scheduling platform should recognize that. Most scheduling software hands you a template and asks your organization to fit it. CallCovered starts from how your organization actually works — your sites, your rules, your people, your priorities — and builds the schedule around that.
CallCovered is physician-owned and physician-led.
We built this platform because we have experienced scheduling from the ground level. We understand that a scheduling decision isn't just a box on a calendar. It determines who works together, where expertise is available, how workloads are distributed, whether teams have adequate support, and how resilient those teams are when something unexpected happens.
Those decisions can influence the experience of care providers, the performance of teams, and ultimately the quality of care delivered to patients. That perspective shapes how we build CallCovered.
Patients and care teams are at the center of our process.
We believe better-supported teams can deliver better care. Our goal is to build scheduling infrastructure that helps organizations create those teams intentionally.
Customer commitment is part of the product.
We are deeply committed to the organizations and people who trust us with their schedules. Our goal isn't simply to sell software. It is to deliver value — listening to our customers, understanding how their organizations actually function, and continually adapting CallCovered to solve meaningful problems.
Technology should disappear into the experience.
Powerful technology does not need to feel complicated. CallCovered should feel intuitive, easy, responsive, and seamless — whether someone is checking tomorrow's assignment, requesting a change, understanding their workload, or managing an entire organization. The complexity belongs behind the scenes. For the user, it should simply work.
We measure our success not simply by whether a schedule was generated, but by whether CallCovered made the organization easier to operate, the team more resilient, and the experience better for the people using it.
What we hold to.
We design around you.
Our technology adapts to the organization—not the organization to our technology. Every organization is different. Its scheduling platform should recognize that.
Reliable by design.
The schedule has to work. Every time.
Resilience over rigidity.
We don't just build schedules that work when everything goes according to plan. We build organizations that can adapt when it doesn't.
Fairness should be visible.
People deserve to understand how schedules are built and how workload, opportunities, and responsibilities are distributed.
Performance can be designed.
Who works, where they work, and who they work alongside can influence how teams perform.
The schedule is organizational intelligence.
Scheduling reveals inefficiencies and opportunities that often remain invisible elsewhere. We use that intelligence to help organizations improve.
Patients and care teams come first.
Behind every schedule are people caring for people. That reality guides the decisions we make.
Customer value matters more than software features.
We succeed when our customers operate better because CallCovered is there.
Complex underneath. Simple on the surface.
Our technology may be sophisticated. Using it shouldn't be.
Every organization is different. Its scheduling platform should recognize that.
Coverage across sites, week after week
- Requests from everyone, on their phone — the weeks they want, the weeks they can't, how much they're aiming for.
- Each site's own pattern — handoff days, positions, nights, backup rotation — filled in once you say who is there.
- Credentialing, licensure, double-bookings and unavailability checked on every edit, before the schedule goes out.
- Published schedules on the phone; timesheets that confirm themselves; travel and lodging for every stint away.
Built on one founding principle: the schedule may never violate the ACGME rules
- Block schedules and day-to-day call schedules for a full year, built from your requirements and your rules — and never in violation of the ACGME rules, by design.
- The schedule as a tool for the program: track completion of ACGME requirements, and evaluate trainees on their ACGME milestones.
- Record and give evaluation feedback, and log the procedures required to graduate — in the same place the schedule lives.
- Fairness reports on call, weekends and holidays, block by block — a schedule that is resilient and fair at the same time, not one at the expense of the other.
Shifts, on-call and handoffs — wherever they have to be right
- Nursing units, advanced-practice teams, pharmacy, lab, imaging, transport — every part of a hospital that never closes.
- Beyond healthcare: any operation with shifts, on-call rotations and handoffs, where an empty slot is a real problem.
- The same platform: your rules written down, every position checked, every change recorded and explained.
- Your people see their own schedule on their phone; your office sees the whole picture.
Two faces. One schedule.
The people on the schedule see their own week on their phone. The office sees every site at once, with the rules doing the checking. Drawn here in the shape of the real screens, with a fictional hospital and names.
Callie, our agentic scheduling agent.
Callie makes interfacing with the platform seamless. Ask in plain language — on your phone, in the moment — and Callie does the rest: she checks your schedule, files your request, answers the question, drafts the note.
- For the people on the schedule: "I can't work the week of March 3." "Who's covering nights on Thursday?" "Where am I staying next week?"
- For the office: "Who could fill Rounder 4 on Thursday?" "Why is this week showing a warning?" "Draft this week's logistics note for Northgate."
- Inside the rules, always. Callie never changes a schedule the platform wouldn't accept. Every action she takes is checked against your rules, recorded, and explained — exactly like any other change. A schedule change she describes is applied only when a scheduler clicks to accept it. How she is kept safe →
Scheduling is where operations become real.
Every schedule reflects how an organization actually works: where people spend their time, how teams are constructed, where resources are constrained, where coverage breaks down, and where opportunities for greater efficiency and productivity exist.
That makes scheduling one of the most powerful—and underused—sources of organizational intelligence.
CallCovered uses that intelligence. Our agentic scheduling platform goes beyond building schedules. It allows us to identify operational inefficiencies, understand their underlying causes, and develop tailored solutions around the unique needs of an organization.
We design around you. We don't make you design around us.
The result is technology that doesn't simply automate an existing process. It helps organizations continuously improve how they operate.
What a working schedule gives back — in hours, dollars and outcomes.
Philosophy is why we build it. This is what it returns: time for the office, money for the organization, and better care for patients — with the arithmetic shown.
Optimized teams reduce length of stay by 12 to 18 hours per admission on average.1 At the U.S. average of $3,297 per inpatient day,3 every admission-day given back is capacity the hospital can use.
Our performance scoring system rates every team on every day — the mean, the weakest day, the weak link — so a thin team is fixed before it is on the floor. Better-balanced teams have fewer patient-safety events, and quality follows.2
Requests, timesheets and logistics arrive on the platform instead of in email chains; the rules check every edit so the office stops re-checking by hand. Put your own numbers in below.
Coverage you can see
Every position at every site, every week, on one grid — with the open slots and the blocked moves flagged before the schedule goes out, not after someone notices.
Hours back for the office
Requests arrive from phones instead of email chains. Timesheets fill themselves in from the schedule and wait for a confirmation, not a chase. Travel and lodging live next to the shifts they belong to.
Fewer expensive surprises
Credentialing, licensure, double-bookings and unavailability are checked on every edit. A gap found on Tuesday is a phone call; a gap found on Saturday night is a locum at a premium.
A team that trusts the schedule
Fairness that is measured, block by block — call, weekends, holidays — and every decision behind the schedule recorded, so "why me again?" has an answer.
Your numbers, our arithmetic.
Every figure below is an input you can change. The defaults are the published averages cited under this section; the result is what they mean for an organization your size.
Your roster and your rules
We take the sheet you already keep and write your rules down with you — sites, positions, handoffs, exceptions.
Your schedule, rebuilt and checked
The platform builds a quarter you have already lived through and we compare it, shift by shift, with what you actually did.
Your people sign in
Physicians see their shifts on their phones and file requests there; the office publishes from the grid.
Every week after
We keep listening. Rules change, sites open, people move — the platform is adapted to you, not the other way around.
Weeks, not a migration project: there is nothing to install, no template to fit into, and your first schedule on the platform is compared against a real one before anyone relies on it.

Built to be checked.
A schedule is operational data about people. Here is how it is protected — what is in place today, and what is on the way. Ask us for the detail; we'd rather show you than promise.
No passwords to steal.
People sign in with a one-time code sent to the email address their scheduler has on file, through Amazon Cognito. Nobody can register themselves; accounts are created from your roster, and an unknown address gets the same answer as a wrong code. Signing out revokes the session everywhere.
Your own pages, and only those.
Physician, scheduler, logistics coordinator, CallCovered: four roles, carried on a signed token the server verifies on every request. A user can reach only their own shifts, requests, timesheets and trip; the server enforces it on every call, not the screen.
Narrow hands, your login, a human click.
Callie can only perform a short list of named actions — the same ones the screens use — under the login of the person talking to her. She has no database access, cannot apply a schedule change (a scheduler applies it, with their own reason), never sees door codes, and treats everything she reads as data, not instructions.
Who, when, why, before and after.
Every per-shift edit is recorded with the person, the time, the reason, the values before and after, and any override reason. Availability changes, Callie's conversations and every message the platform sends are kept the same way — and the database refuses to alter or delete an audit row.
In transit and at rest.
TLS 1.2 or newer everywhere, with plain HTTP redirected. The database is encrypted at rest, backed up automatically, and sits on a private network with no public address. Secrets live in AWS Secrets Manager; there are no long-lived keys on anyone's laptop.
No patient information. Ever.
CallCovered holds schedules, availability, timesheets, credentialing status, contact details and travel — never clinical records. Every record carries the client it belongs to, every read is scoped to that client on the server, and a request for another organization's data returns nothing — not a refusal that confirms it exists. Residence door codes are shown only to the physician staying there, and only around their stay.
Security questionnaires, architecture walkthroughs and a data-flow diagram are available to prospective clients on request.
